Configuring Alert Rules

Overview

Depending on the sensor types a service user has, AVERio allows you to set different alert types to notify you if something doesn't look right. Alerts differ by device, and are explained below. 


Current Alert Types Available

Below is a full list of all the current alert types which work within the AVERio application.


Sensor TypeAvailable Alert Rules
SOS buttonRaise an alert whenever the button is pressed.
Smoke AlarmRaise an alert whenever the alarm is activated.
Door SensorAlert 1: Raise an alert if the door is opened at any point between two configurable times (i.e. 11pm - 6am).

Alert 2: Raise an alert if the door is left open for a specific duration (in minutes) between two configurable times (i.e. 11pm - 6am).
Bed SensorRaise an alert if the bed is vacated for a specific duration (in minutes) between two configurable times (i.e. 11pm - 6am).
Motion SensorRaise an alert if there is no motion detected by a specific configurable time each day (i.e. by 9am).


Configuring Alerts

Alert rules will automatically be made available within the AVERio app providing the service user has one or more of the sensors listed above. 

To view alert configuration, access the service user's Activity Overview by either clicking the Activity Tile from the main dashboard, or by clicking the activity link from the service user list. 


Next, click the "Alerts" option, then the "Toggle" icon:


This will then show the available Alert Rules for the service user:


By default, all alert rules are switched off (disabled). 

To configure and enable an alert, first toggle Off/On to the "ON" position:


Next, configure the durations / times available in the alert rule to the requirements needed. In this example, the alert is being configured to raise an alert if there has been no motion from the living room motion sensor by 7am each day. Note - times are configured in 24 hour time format. A time conversion chart is available at the end of this article for those not familiar with the 24 hour format:


Finally, the rule must be saved by clicking the green "Save" button. Once saved, the button will return back to grey. Whenever ANY changes are made to alert rules, the save button must be used in order to ensure the changes are saved.
